Nonmedical only. 'Companion services' = nonmedical basic supervision; 'homemaker services' = nonmedical supportive services including assistance with personal hygiene, cooking, cleaning, laundry and other household chores (§20-670). The definition expressly EXCLUDES a home health care agency (§19a-490(d)) and a home health aide agency (§19a-490(e)) — hands-on home health aide / skilled tasks are the DPH-licensed lane, not this registration.

The skilled door in Connecticut

Home health care agencies and home health aide agencies are licensed by the Department of Public Health under §19a-490 and Regs. §§19-13-D84 et seq. / D90, separate from DCP registration; a homemaker-companion agency may not hold itself out as providing those services.

Connecticut Home Care Program for Elders (CHCPE) and Medicaid HCBS waivers via Department of Social Services; agency must hold the DCP registration and enroll as a Medicaid provider

EVV is federally required for Medicaid personal care services, but the state EVV page was not captured in this pass — marked null rather than assumed.
